Hello everybody!

How are you doing? I am quite curious about the next class and the discussions we're going to have about the different topics...
How did you like the articles? I found them quite interesting although I'm not quite sure about how accurate the one about Britain is... Things have changed a lot since the 1960s so I'm wondering if any statistics can still be used nowadays. What's your opinion on that?

Hey there!

This week, i did a lot of research on my topic (conflict over the Falkland islands) and as it turned out, there's plenty of material... However i'm not quite sure about how to differentiate scientific from non-scientific literature (besides of course it is obvious). How do you know which texts are appropriate? How are you doing anyway with your work?

This week I have recieved the first feedback on my paper and I have to admit I have mixed feelings about it. Although I expected certain points of criticism I guess I just hoped it would be fine. I'm struggling pretty much with turning my descriptive essay into an argumetative one....
Besides (and this is defintiely a point I expected) I have to narrow the topic (Wrested islands, with the Falkland Islands, the Senkaku Islands and the Alhucemas Islands as different examples for economic, political, social and cultural conflict). But where to lower one's sight? Is there anybody who faces a similar situation? How do you approach that?
