Our first four meetings

Unfortunately, I didn’t have the chance to write anything about my impressions up until now, that’s why I decided to try and summarize my first four weeks.
Our first meeting was very exciting and after our meeting I knew that it is going to be an adventurous semester. I didn't have any idea about my paper, so I had a lot to do. I tried to think about subjects that I am interested in and came up with the idea that I could write about the rights to education for women in the Arab World. Actually, I don’t know where this interest comes from but in the last months I have been reading a lot about the human’s right and women’s right in the Arab World, and more specifically those in Egypt. So, I decided not only to write about a women’s right to education in the Arab World but also to compare it with the one in Europe.
The next challenges for me were the biodata and my self-evaluation. They were challenging because I was not used to writing a lot about myself. However, I hope that I still have done a good job.
In my second week I got the chance to talk to some of our colleagues and I received some interesting ideas about my paper. A colleague of mine suggested to make the topic more concise and to write just about a specific country in the Arab World because he thought that otherwise the paper would be too long. Well, I was not sure about this but I was very thankful to hear other opinions and ideas.
Our third meeting was very interesting because I got the first comments and suggestions about my paper proposal from the professor. I saw that I have to work harder and to do more research in order to get better ideas. That was actually my plan. I tried to get as much information as I possibly could about the women’s right to education in the Arab World and in Europe. I revised my paper and I wrote my sentence outline, which I thought that was not very good, but I hoped that I got the idea about the way in which to write a sentence outline.
Our fourth meeting was very special to me because I realized that I did not do such a bad job with my sentence outline as I expected and I was very happy. However, my paper proposal was not good and I was a little bit disappointed. I appreciate a good feedback as well as a bad one. That’s why I was content and very thankful for the feedback, the comments and the suggestions that I got from the professor. My topic was, exactly as my colleague said, too wide spread and I tried to shorten it. I decided to write only about a specific country in the Arab World and not to try to compare it with Europe. I did my best and I am very excited about our next meeting as well as about the comments that I will get.
