QR Code

           I want QR Code to be my topic because it is interesting and it gives the feeling like a limitless number of options, which can become overwhelming  and chaotic.

What is QR code?                                                                              

QR code or Quick Response Code ist he trademark for a type of matrix barcode (or two dimentional code) first designed fort he automotive industry.

QR code is invented in Japan by the Toyota subsidary Denso wave in 1994 to track vehicles during the manufacturing process, the QR code is one of the most popular types of two dimensional barcodes. It was designed to allow it’s contents tob e decoded at high speed.

Uses of QR Code

QR code can be used in Google’s mobile android operating system via both their own Google Goggles application or 3rd party barcode scanners like ZXing.

QR codes are used by companies to market their businesses and extend the reach of their brands. When a customer / prospect scans the code with their mobile device, the code will reveal information the company adds to it. This information can be text or a link to website or custom landing page. The marketing possibilities are endless.

1. T –Shirts

Clothing of all sorts have become a popular background for QR code. Hats, belt buckles, and even tattoos are making an apearance.

 2. Stamps

 Use QR code on envelope labels to display additional business information when you mail  out letters and advertising media.

3. TV Commercial

Business are using television  commercials to advertise special coupons in QR code.

4. Real Estate

Real estate professionals use QR code to link especial websites or contact information.

Some realtors use QR codes to link to additional property photos viewable while a client is on the property. It can also be beneficial to display additional rental information and apartment specifications. Using QR code for contacts information is also a great way to get scanners to bookmark it and save it for future.

Just Googgle „QR Code generator“ and you’ll have a plethora of websites that makes it incredibly easy to make your oqn QR code.

QR code are made up of black squares and white squares. Each of these squares is called a modules. In every QR code, there are certain modules that must not be covered or edited, else the code wont scan.

 ·    The three large squares highlighted in red are the position markers. These tell the scanner where the edges oft he code are.

·         ·  The smaller red square is an alignment marker. This acta s a reference point for the scanner, making sure everything lines up properly. In bigger code there are several of these squares .

·         ·  The red strips of alternating black and white modules are called timing patterns. They define the positioning oft he rows and columns.

·         ·  The green sections determine the format. This tells the scanner whether it’s a website, text message, Chinese symbols, number or any combination of these.

·         ·  The modules highlighted in blue represent the version number.
