Reflection 1
First, I want to start to describe my strengths. I´m very insisting, if have to work on a paper it´s not a big problem for me to reread it and to correct mistakes again and again. I like to work with the English language and to learn and use new phrases and vocabulary.
Probably the biggest weakness from my point of view is my current vocabulary especially if it is technical language. Often I´m insecure about the tense I have to use during my writing (Simple Present, Past Tense etc.) Another issue is that sometimes I have problem with the right organization of my papers to structure the text correctly so that the context makes sense. I start to mix the different arguments or to repeat them after a while or to describe the connection between the arguments.
I hope to improve my writing skills in this class. I want to learn how to organize the arguments, reasons, results, and conclusions better. Hopefully in the future it will be easier to find the entry in my papers or writings. Sometimes I already have found arguments and I have an idea in my mind how to write the article but it´s hard for me to bring it on paper. I hope that this will become better if I´ll practice and to write different papers or articles.
A second issue is that I wish to improve my use of vocabulary. Many word I reaped all the time. When I reread the paper after a while I recognize it but it´s hard for me to find a synonym.
After the first lesson I´m not quite sure if I´m able to handle all the requirements to ride a good paper but that we will find out after the course. The first expression of the course that it is not just a lot of work to do what would be ok but sometime I had the feeling I´ll not be able to handle this. Indeed I have to be honest this is a feeling I already had in the past and most of the time it went well.
All together I have to state that there are some fears if I´ll be able to write a good paper. On the other hand I hope to improve my skills in English academic writing.
