My poster is finished and was revised several times. Now I am happy that it is finished and in my opinion, the poster is much better than the actual paper. It is well structured and the point of the paper is formulated more clear. If I had to write the paper again, it would be much easier now because I would start from the poster and develop it into a paper.

I share your happiness, as I feel relieved to have completed the final version of my poster too. Indeed, the structure seems to be much more comprehensible on the poster than in the paper itself. I agree with you that the overview on the mock-up facilitates to understand the content of the research paper. However, I am convinced that this advantage of the poster is simply due to the fact that it consists of one page. As you already mentioned, it could be a help to get a quicker grasp about the topic as well as it could possibly function as a starting point for further research.

this is an interesting point because I had the same feeling. It is much easier to make a point while designing a poster than during writing a paper! Maybe it could really be an option to start with kind of a poster before writing the actual paper. Did you already print out your poster in A2?
