Academic Writing

Hey there!

i'm new in this course and I'm so glad that I got the chance of switching to this class as it sounds really interesting! First, I was in the Advanced Text Production class on Monday, which was also a nice experience as everyone of the students came from another field of study (Physics, Linguistics etc...).

Actually, I need to start working on my paper now as we did different things as we are doing in this class, but at least I can keep my topic.

Concerning my writing skills, I think that I still need to improve myself a lot. I studied in Toronto for two semesters and one could think that I'm perfect in writing and talking, BUT I'm not. Of course, I wrote several papers, but the professors didn't give me any feedback on how my writing skills were, or whether I used tenses, punctuation etc. correctly or not.

I'm gonna write my diploma thesis in English, so I need to improve my writing skills as fast as possible.

Glad you made it online here We all had hard times to getting this blog started and some of us are still facing challenges when it comes to making it work.

I hope you could do better then me - because for me it was no good day in writing - and write your outline and proposal.

I appreciate, that you addapted in this class fast, I would be way lost after switching.

According to feedback on your English, Mr. Brewster is doing a perfect job in this, he corrects all mistakes and explain them if neccessary, so you will learn a lot! :)

I didn´t know, that you are writing your diploma thesis in English! Than this class is more than helpful and essential for you!
