In the first meeting, Dr. Brewster confronted us with our main activity in this course: writing an academic essay. Although I have already written a couple of English texts in the past, some more and some less academically, I still see a lot of potential for improving. This is especially true when it comes to the topic itself. Frankly, finding a topic is not always easy for me. Thankfully the first meeting was all about planning and finding a topic. The input we got was quite helpful and I hope that I’ve chosen the right topic for my essay.
