It is 1 of classic of Internet with the well know Yahoo.
It has one of the more extensive and precise data bases.
You can find everything that you look for.

This finder is characterized to give the option us to have a gratis mail in the server.
In addition specially it is indicated to look for MP3s, obtains good results in this aspect.

EUROSEEK
European finder which you can find many things.



EXCITE
It is another one of the classic ones that it is almost in Internet from their beginning. It Is American Finder American, but it is not recommendable if we look for things related to our country.



HOTBOT
It is one of the best ones. It belongs to Lycos and it is very recommendable. Specially in the search of MP3s. He is able to find any artist, song that we find.
After find it, it classifies the results to us, for example in the case of music, it will classify us by MP3s:::
It is one of most complete.


LYCOS SPAIN
Also it belongs to the group of the classic ones.
At first it did not have great part of the market, but with time it has been emplaced in a great position, thanks to the improvement of this servants and filial finders like HOTBOT.

WEB CRAWLER
Very successful in the United States, but with little accept in Spain and I don’t know in the rest of Europa.
I have never used it but in the book “Internet: reference manual. HAHN.H.,Madrid,Ed.Mcgrew-hil,1998”,it is written: “ little complete to use it “.

9.WHAT IS A FINDER?

A finder is “a page of Internet in which we can enter and look for all kind of information.”
Really the information that we found when we make a search in this type of pages does not reside in the same page where is the finder.
(Except for exceptional cases, in which the finder tries to find words or articles lodged in the same page in which we were).
The function of the finder consists of, according to introduced information, consults it and compare with indexed lists ,and finally to verify whichever pages are related to our subject.
After the consultation, he should show the user all the coincidences that it has found,and we can access to all of them

WHAT CAN I DO A SEARCH…

In order to make a search in anyone of the existing finders in Internet, simply we will have to access to the page in which the finder resides and to write in the text picture that will appear in this page that is what we want to look for:
Another option offered in many finders is the one to access to a list of information classified by subjects, using a hierarchic structure in form of directories where, with tree structure, they will be grouped all the matters of a subject in common. This one is rather a selective search, in that we will be finding the information classified of a much more precise way, according to we are pressing in the different connections.
The danger of this system is when we do not know very clearly what we looked for, we can lose, to find something that calls our attention and to finish in a site at which we had not though to arrive.

ADVANCED SEARCH

One always says that in Internet “it is possible to be found of everything “,but it is also a great disadvantage because there is a enormous amount of information as a consequence it is difficult, without aid, to find something of a concrete subject.
In order to facilitate the search, a kind of programs has been developed that work everywhere, and you can access itself as another normal work web: they are the finders.
The finders appear us as “pages of Web” and they have mainly two forms to work well differentiated:
a)firstly, there are a screen where we will introduce the key words related to the subject that interests us, later we will choose the type search (a logical AND of the introduced words, a OR, etc.) and finally we will press in the button with the word "Search" (or something similar). In a short moment (or not so short, because it depends on the saturation of the line and the speed of the finder).Then , we will appear a list with several directions and a small summary on which we will be able to find in them what we need (the normal thing is that they appear in groups of about 20).
b)In second hand, we will find a classified menu of subjects, which we will access and in consequence to get our “objective of search” search.

ANOTHER CLASS OF FINDERS

In addition to these finders whose main function is look for “terms in pages Web” , there are also other finders to look for e-mail directions (not always they find) and to look for in last and present articles of news, quite interesting things.
Independently on the form to display the information, the efficiency of the finders will not only depend of the amount of data (as large as a data base) but on the method that they use to organize the information and to make the search.

Hello, my name is maria jose .I am 22 years old and I am spanish.
In spain , I study my last year of Aversiting and Relations Public.
Here I am student in Kommunikation und Wissenschaft.

FIRSTLY, I thought speak about the
"homepage creation" and the use of programm as : html,frontpage,dreamweaver and flash.
But I am not too good in german or english;I feel me not capable to do it ,so I prefer choose another subject also interessant ,which can also less problem give myself.
Also,I try to do it in english,german and spanish and maybe eveybody can understand me.

I would like to talk about "INTERNET" in base of three reasons:
1.because we are in the thecnological sociaty and dont follow the "rate" ,"rithmus", supose eine desfase,so "we remain, dont improve".
2.because this is a useful tool in the daily journalistic job.
3.the last und most important reason: necause everybody when you ask about "what is internet", they say: "yes , i know" BUT, how many people can a exactly,clear und truly definition give us?, only one to each ten people.

Hola , me llamo Maria Jose.Tengo 22 anos y soy espanola.
En espana curso mi ultimo ano de publicidad y relaciones publicas.
aqui soy estudiante erasmus en la facultad de communicacion y ciencias.

Primeramente pense en hablar sobre la "CREACION DE PAGINAS WEB" y la utilizacion de programas para ello como son : HTML, FRONTPAGE; DREAWEAVER Y FLASH.
Pero debido a mis dificultades con el idioma, no me siento capacitada para ello y prefiero optar por otro tema que tambien me parece muy interesante y puedo ocasioname menos problemas con el vocabulario.
Asimismo,intentare hacerlo lo mejor que pueda para que pueda entender me.

Me gustaria hablar sobre "INTERNET" por tres razones:
1.porque estamos inmersos en la sociedad de la nuevas tecnologia y no seguir el ritmo supone un desfase, o sea, quedarnos atras.
2.porque es una herramienta muy util en el trabajo cotidiano de todo profesional de la comunicacion.
3.y la ultima y mas importante:porque a la pregunta de ,sabes que es internet? todo responde que "si" pero a la pregunta de , que es internet?,solo uno de cada diez son capacez de dar una respuesta clara, concreta y acertada.

Profundizando mas en el tema,he decido estructuralos en diez campos o lo que he denominado "las diez preguntas de internet":
