First blog

Hi!

 Finally I managed to write my first blog as well. :) For me the whole KUSSS and moodle system is very confusing, because I am an exchange student. I study law in German, which is actually my first foreign language- I have been in Austria also during the previous semester, so now it doesn’t make me problem to learn or write in German. As an exchange student I am using English more than I expected- there are many people in my dorm, who don’t speak German at all. In the first days I was kind of disappointed, because primary I wanted to practice me German. But now I like English very much and I learned a lot while hanging out with 2 American guys. I consider English as the most important language in the world and people just can not avoid it. It´s very important to have a perfect English for my future career as lawyer too. 

I can communicate in English about all general topic, opinions and experiences. But I would like to be able speak and write in a formal way too. The only place I practice my writing skills is chatting with friends. I have never written any serious article in English and this course is the first English one I have ever taken, so I hope I can handle it out somehow. I would love to extend my vocabulary, learn some useful phrases, learn to work with academic articels, sort out important information from the not important one and learn to express myself on a higher level.

I think this course is offering all of the above mentioned things, so I am looking forward! :)
