Dear all,
this week we had to write an introduction to our paper as well as a conclusion. I have to admit that it was a bit hard for me to write this conclusion as I am used to wrtitig the conclusion after I did the main part of the paper. But it turned out to be an interesting experiece as I really had to think about all possible contents and assumptions of my paper. But still I am not sure about the quality of this conclusion.
Furhermore I can tell you that I am happy with the progress of my paper because I already know what should ne included and which references can be used. So I am looking forward to the feedback on my outline! What are your thoughts concerning the introduction and especially the conclusion?
See you!
Michael

Dear Michael,
I had the same experience as you about writing this conclusion. It is very difficult because I am also used to write my conclusion at the end of the whole work. I am not quite sure if the quality of my conclusion is good or not too.
I am glad that there are people who have the same problems and fears like me :)!
See you tomorrow,
Pia

Dear Michael,
I absolutely share your experience and understand your concerns about writing an appropriate conclusion before even start writing on the main part of the paper. The task of compiling the conclusion first seemed to be confusing for me too. But after rethinking the approach we ought to pursue, drafting the conclusion just appeared as a logical option. As you already mentioned, the reflection of all the possible scenarios, derivations and results of the thesis influences the conclusion. Convinced that this procedure will help to generate more ideas and gain further perspectives, drafting the conclusion beforehand might strengthen the major body of the research as well.
