6th entry

Hi all,

there were several problems with my blog as I could not find it anymore and I think one entry has been deleted... So here is a summary of what I remember from the time when this post should have been online. At this time I was trying to shorten my paper but it did not really work. Therefore, It ried to rearrange some parts of the paper and then decided to proceed with my work some days later.

What are your strategies to shorten papers?

See you, Michael

Hi Michael,

The ongoing problems with the blog seem to be pretty annoying to everyone. I already had some problems as well in terms of publishing it online or save it offline and so forth.

One of my strategy to shorten papers is to mark the essential parts or even key words of a certain field of research, followed by an intensive reflection of the real necessity in the specific context. Most of the time it proves as a quite difficult task to decide whether a part contains relevant information. I think the example Dr. Brewster presented to us is fairly useful.

Have a nice evening,

Christian

Good to hear I'm not the only one with that problem... ;) what exactly did you do to solve the problem? I tried to contact the support team, because I did not want to write about it in public and eventually my blog reappeared again...

see you tomorrow,

elke
