Creating a meaningful poster...

Hey there,
I'm just about to finish my poster for the presentation on Tuesday. Or is not a presentation? This is not quite clear to me, however we're gonna manage it!
Creating my poster was a very interesting activity for me as I tried to put as much information on the poster but also tried to keep it clear and simple. Once I have managed that, another obstacle was put into my way: I just realized that my printer only serve a DIN A4 format and not A0, which size the poster is supposed to be!!! As I don't know anybody who could print my poster in such a short time and I have no clue where the nearest copy shop in my area is, I decided to cut up my poster and print the various parts of it on A4 and then I'm gonna glue it alltogther on a flipchart.
As I'm now looking on my finish poster, it makes me a little bit proud, because it makes me think of all the work that I have put into the paper and the course, but also because I can see my development and progress in writing academically.
So, looking forward to Tuesday!
brgds

Poster Session
nina.gusenleitner.uni-linz, 25. Juni 2012, 17:28
Hello Sandra,
I talked to Mr. Brewster today. I understood that we will have 2 rounds during our poster presentation session. All students will walk around and look at the posters from the experts. The presenters should not explain their poster, but should start a discussion and answer questions of the others.
Your poster should be self-explanatory, meaning that the less you have to explain to the others, the better.
I hope this answered your question :)
See you tomorrow,
Nina

From what I understood, we will not have the presentation of the posters before the new year. It is going to be something like the final part of the "Project". For Thursday we only have to bring this A4 poster!
