Academic Writing English
Dienstag, 6. November 2012
Dear classmates!

The progress of the paper in form of writing paragraphs and segments for the re-search work during the last week was pretty modest. This apparently indolent way of working does not testify the passive approach but a focus in acquiring further relevant journal articles and profound resources to gain a broader expertise for the research work.

Besides, the survey of academic writing conventions had superior priority as an es-sential aspect in creating a research paper. In the context of this process, I eyed the sample of the work that was handed out last week, again, to obtain a better insight in correct drafting of introductions and conclusions.

Hence, I await the feedback to continue the writing part the following week as well. Though, anticipating that there still will be a considerable high workload referring to a deeper exploration of information and facts.

What is your current state of working progress? Do you possibly also face difficulties of how to continue with your paper in the most professional way?

Dear fellow students!

The third blog entry covers the current state of the progress of writing an academic research paper as well as the feedback of the professor. Hence, the deviating degree of adjustment of the focus of the paper and the following procedure of revision illustrate further relevant topics.

What I definitely learned so far reflects in the aspect, that the topic of a paper might differ numerous times from the very beginning until the finished work. After creating the sentenced outline of the research paper I found myself confronted to modify the exact subject of the paper. The feedback of the professor elucidated to narrow down the topic to one specific matter or one explicit defined thought.

The valuable feedback supports the process on concentrating on one main idea. Therefore, the gathering of new sources and research materials exposed as indispensible. In this context, "The Cornell Note Taking System" alleviated the problem of wasting rarely and crucial information.

Tracing the path of consequently rethinking the general outline and bearing in mind the thesis statement might contribute to a well elaborated research paper at the time of the deadline.

Dear classmates!

I would like to welcome you to my second blog entry on collabor! It has been a while since I put my last minute of Academic Writing English online. Therefore, I intend to inform you what has happened during these preceding days of absence.

My main engagement was dedicated to research and improvement of my proposal. I became aware of the considerable amount of aspects you have to regard on creating a sophisticated research paper. In this context, it is absolutely necessary to compose an argumentative thesis statement. Actually, it was the first time for me to elaborate such a statement, but with the instructions given, I felt more confident to draft a correct formulation.

Besides, I have been looking for some appropriate articles, journals and governmental information about my research topic. Although it takes some time to attain profound sources and materials, it nowadays constitutes as an comparatively manageable task by making use of the Internet.

The next point I intend to approach is to develop a proper outline for the paper. Accordingly, I am going to brainstorm my rough main ideas one more time, hence I focus on redefining these thoughts through consideration of a more formal segmentation of the issues.

See you next time in class!

Christian
