Hello everyone!
The focus of the course last week was to finish a final draft of the paper for peer review. I am curious about the first feedback about the whole paper next session. Indeed, the previous pro-cess of learning applied in the lessons mediate an assurance of a reasonable progress. Be it either in terms of the structured approach of writing an academic paper or the detailed mind-ing of guidelines. At the time one reach the point of reflecting on the own procedure and progress achieved dur-ing class leads, in my case, to a further push of motivation and a kind of satisfaction. None-theless, it is essential to properly continue the chosen path in accordance to steadily improve one's abilities. In order to finish these lines adequately I intend to bear in mind that the jour-ney is the reward. Christian ... link (0 comments) ... comment Mittwoch, 21. November 2012

Dear students!
The discussion of the first draft of the paper in the last session was pretty good for me to get some feedback about the work. I got some advice to improve certain paragraphs or to rephrase specific segments. I will definitely implement this suggestions into the final draft of my re-search. Every lesson I feel that I become more confident in writing an academic paper as we receive important rules, hints and principles one by one during class. Hence, the research continuously assumes shape. For the following week I pursue to optimize the smoothness of the paper as well as correct citations and references. I am assertive that most of the rough work is already done. Currently, the review and smaller adjustments make up the first priority. In order to submit a proper first draft for the next time, I will possibly ask some friends for a peer review of my work. See you next week! Christian ... link (0 comments) ... comment Dienstag, 13. Dear mates!
The assignment of last week to summarize two articles about brain drain within a range of 200 words maximum was a new experience in some kind of way. Firstly, it seems difficult to create a concise brief statement that covers all important issues. Secondly, it was a new form of a summary as two articles had to be combined to one sophisticated, precise work. Finally, putting the articles in relation to each other and comparing them exposed as a quite interesting task. Concerning the other assignment which was to work on the middle parts of the research paper, I feel relieved after getting the feedback from the professor. Now I can continue to compile a rough draft of my paper. I hope that I am on the right track from now on, instead of pursuing a too broad elaboration of the topic.
