Academic Writing English
Dienstag, 8. Jänner 2013
Dear fellow students!

We are approaching the final weeks of this term, which also means that there are only a few steps ahead to accomplish the academic writing class. Therefore, I recently drafted the final version of my poster and I did some special review concerning my common mistakes.

Another important issue consisted of the preparation for the in class assignment today. Thus, I worked through the case analysis methods and the study material Dr. Brewster put online. In addition, I skimmed through the handwritten records plus the article we read the last session. However, I hope that I am well prepared for the case analysis in order to advance towards a successful completion of this course.

Hello everyone!

Finally, the day for submission of the academic research paper has come. In the aftermath, time has passed pretty fast and it is a good feeling to have complied this task. I hope that I reconsidered every part of my work that needed some improvement. Hence, I rest assured to a proper outcome for my first real academic paper in English. Whatever the result will be, the gained experience as well as the acquired skills and abilities in writing a sophisticated paper make me feel more prepared for related tasks in the future.

Hello!

With every single week, the paper continuously develops towards a final version. After the received feedback today, I feel prepared to make the necessary corrections in order to submit a rather faultless academic research work. Especially the formulation of the abstract will be a main point in my review. Furthermore, the revision of the APA style guide will constitute another core issue.

One more task for the following week consists of creating an A4 poster to be able to present the paper in January. In consequence of the peer review in today's session I will implement some suggestions to improve the visual and textual appearance of my poster.

What sort of procedures, besides the study materials on moodle, do you pursue for your poster?

Cheers,
Christian
